Triad and tetrad color scheme
This one is a little bit more tricky but with a color wheel it is very easy to get the hang of it.
I think this harmony is one of the best to create a very fun and unique kids room, or for the ones that want a little more colour in their environment.
The important thing to remember with the triadic scheme to use different tints and tones, if the three colours were very saturated the space would seem too intense therefore I would suggest using the purest colour as accents.
I really like this triadic design, even if it is colorful it still looks sophisticated. The tree colours are the yellow, the blue and the red. The yellow is a little bit darker and the red is lighter. The wallpaper is the key in this space, the amount of texture in it allows the pink and the yellow to pop without looking like a box of crayon. The wood on the chairs and the table and a classic touch and warmth to the room.
The picture on the bottom is a good example of the tetrad scheme. The red-violet, the orange, the yellow-green and the blue create a square on the colour wheel. The space is very colorful and bright, the size of the furniture and the lack of it in the space allow the saturated colours to have an impact without being overwhelming, the dark floors and the texture are also a very helpful to tone down the furniture.
